I was surprised at how good Abraham was. I always liked his interviews and found him very beautiful but never liked his performances. I guess, except for Katrina Kaif, nearly everyone of the stars with questionable artistic ability/merit are starting to exhibit some acting prowess. Okay, to respond coherently to that one I'll have to recover from my laughter ... which might be ... NEVER!!! But thank you for sending me one of the most hilarious responses I've ever received on this blog :)

Regards, AnnaAnna MM Vetticadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08672605004762355462noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3555887833232019435.post-33243607220575112912012-02-25T22:54:30.178+05:302012-02-25T22:54:30.178+05:30Lets just agree that Bollywood does such a horribl...Lets just agree that Bollywood does such a horrible job of replicating action scenes from Hollywood. You won't see John Mclane or James Bond lift a bike with one hand and throw it at a thug. The physics are realistic in Hollywood. Unfortunately, the bollywood directors havent taken science in school!!

And please don't compare John Mclane to John Abraham. Die Hard is a classic.

-Someone from Chempolil group againAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3555887833232019435.post-64304935928096290722011-11-30T22:41:42.954+05:302011-11-30T22:41:42.954+05:30Finally watched Force. Loved the movie and have to agree with your review completely - except the part about Genelia :) While I agree she might not have matched up Centigrade for Centigrade with John, the movie didn't dip for me when she appeared on the screen. She was quite cute in her role, and the relationship was one of an older man and a younger woman and in this case the younger woman was smitten by the older man..Ram P. Or when the Die Hard series' John McClane fails to be dented by pillars and iron rods? Or when Neo in the Matrix series defies gravity? I don't expect realism from a film that does not position itself as realistic - irrespective of whether it's from India or the Western world! :)Anna MM Vetticadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08672605004762355462noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3555887833232019435.post-45422948776712408802011-10-08T16:24:49.025+05:302011-10-08T16:24:49.025+05:30"A beefy policeman lifts a motorbike with his..."A beefy policeman lifts a motorbike with his bare hands and flings it on a thug." FORCE lived up to my expectations.
DERAILED was made in tamil and hindi as Pachaikil Muthucharam & The Train respectively in 2007. The former turned out to be an edge of the seat thriller whereas latter ended up as a passable fare. Two factors made the difference here - Gautham's brilliance in direction and Jyothika's astounding performance. But in FORCE, Nishikant played his part well, but Genelia was a let down. As you said, she needs to do a lot of home work in improving her acting skills. Had the director roped in a matured actress instead of her, it would have been a real feast by all means as the stage was well set with some melodies coupled with romantic scenes. And the surprise element was Vidyut who played the role of Vishnu with utmost perfection. Be it in his looks or in body language...vengeance was evident in every gustear making the hero-villian riot highly entertaining. Adding a tagline to FORCE... a paisa vasool film!!!

Regards

DyneAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3555887833232019435.post-69781495998055258492011-10-02T11:32:56.067+05:302011-10-02T11:32:56.067+05:30Sameera here - Loved reading your review, agree wi...Sameera here - Loved reading your review, agree with everything you said!
