Ram L...You obviously haven't watched Ram Leela. Ram Leela is no better than Ishaqzaade, in fact it's worse than Ishaqzaade. In Ishaqzaade, we do have proper character build up of Parma and Zoya. They were portrayed as boys and girls from the rival families who hate each other from childhood and they got this hatred in inheritance from their families. Parma is shown as a conscienceless thugs who literally has no morals and his only purpose in life is to please his grandfather who thinks of him as a liability. We know that only Parma is the guy who can do such a shameful thing to Zoya by deceiving her into a fake marriage and then sleeping with her. However, Ram-Leela we get no such character development. We don't even properly get to know Ram and Leela. Ram is shown as a man who brags about his manliness in front of his family and according to him, manliness means with how many women you have slept with. This clearly proves Ram has no qualms in sleeping with women but he hates violence. He runs a porn parlour and is shown as a man who can't be trusted easily by any women. Same goes for Leela. She is shown as equally reckless and forthcoming like Ram. She didn't even shy away from kissing Ram when she sees him for the first time. Still, they were shown falling madly in love with each other! How could that possibly happen? Their 'love' can not even be called love. It's pure lust. Bhansali didn't even care about developing the romance between them. The whole purpose of any review is to give you an individual critic's perspective on a film. After reading the review, it's up to the reader to figure out whether her/his tastes seem to match that particular critic's tastes in cinema and make your own viewing decision. Incidentally, it should be obvious to anyone who has read my review that I did not think the songs were misplaced (though I didn't like many of the tunes), I did not find the storyline repetitive and I did not think scenes were copied from Ishaqzaade which I myself have described in this write-up as a horribly misogynistic film.

Thanks for writing in though. I respect your views and I hope you can respect mine.

Regards, AnnaAnna MM Vetticadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08672605004762355462noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3555887833232019435.post-17995162332009714242013-11-18T12:49:55.599+05:302013-11-18T12:49:55.599+05:30so one should watch the film because bhansali has ...so one should watch the film because bhansali has portrayed women in a stronger role. what about misplaced songs and repetitive storyline and scenes that seemed copied from horribly misogynistic film Ishaqzaade.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3555887833232019435.post-89291517119603531462013-11-17T19:35:15.396+05:302013-11-17T19:35:15.396+05:30The movie appeared to be a blend of SLB cinema wit...The movie appeared to be a blend of SLB cinema with all the aesthetics, superb music & dance and Vishal Bhardwaj's narrative style. Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam's and Devdas' mellow romance, juxtaposed to the ruthlessness of this movie.. simply loved each and every facet of it! :)Mallika Guptahttps://twitter.com/mallikaguptanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3555887833232019435.post-9058776323751405462013-11-16T21:26:11.178+05:302013-11-16T21:26:11.178+05:30I can't able write on Ur fb timeline???I can't able write on Ur fb timeline???Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3555887833232019435.post-46524677983966045392013-11-16T20:15:40.832+05:302013-11-16T20:15:40.832+05:30ok movie.
