I meant to point out that while Argo chose to interpret facts to heighten the role of the CIA in the evacuation drama, Airlift concocted a fiction almost from start to finish. For instance, in the case of Argo, at least Tony Mendez did exist, but he was lionised at the expense of the Canadian ambassador Ken Taylor whose role was diminished to make the CIA the hero of the ENTIRE operation. This is in keeping with Hollywood's "America saves the world" take on pretty much everything. In the case of Airlift though, Ranjit Katiyal did not exist at all and the government was portrayed as a big zero, which is completely factually incorrect.

That being said, you are right - I should have worded the sentence better. Let me think about it and figure out how I can incorporate your feedback in the review. Thanks for writing to me.

Regards,

AnnaAnna MM Vetticadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08672605004762355462noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3555887833232019435.post-1976708737011996782016-01-26T10:35:10.800+05:302016-01-26T10:35:10.800+05:30Argo's fidelity to facts was quite questionabl...Argo's fidelity to facts was quite questionable at times too, no songs however.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07836314212434272337noreply@blogger.com
