Anna M.M. Vetticad is an award-winning Indian journalist, cultural commentator and author of The Adventures of an Intrepid Film Critic. She specialises in the intersection of cinema with feminist and other socio-political concerns. She is a recipient of the Ramnath Goenka Award for Excellence in Journalism 2015 and the Chameli Devi Jain Award for Outstanding Woman Media Person of the Year 2025. Her book is an overview of the Hindi film industry presented through an account of a year in which she watched and blogged about every single Hindi language film released in India’s National Capital Region. Anna has been a journalist since 1994. She has worked with India Today magazine, The Indian Express newspaper and Headlines Today (now known as India Today TV) where she hosted her own interview show, Star Trek, which drew all India’s eminent entertainment personalities. Since 2011, she has been an independent journalist reporting and writing for both national and international publications.
